Check Points: Check Points allow players to start from them if they die. These are located in various parts of the level, this helps so if you die, you won't start from the begining of level.

Doors & Gates: Doors and Gates allow you to travel from one part of the level to another with the simple press of an R button when close by one.

Goo - It may look like water in the game but because Patrick and SpongeBob can't swim, it would be smart to avoid it.

Ice - Ice covered land will cause either Patrick or SpongeBob to become slippery.

Floating Ice Cubes - These will allow Patrick to use his tongue and grapple so he can swing to the next platform.

Paddle Wheel - Paddle wheels can be activated when SpongeBob bowls a ball at it.

Bash Platforms - These fists circled with  shade of red means SpongeBob can use his Bash move when standing on it to activate a switch or flip board of wood.
